POLITE
Carlos Polite presented an espectacular collection the last day of Colombiamoda 2012. With a religious inspiration models appeared on the catwalk with their faces covered by robes of white and blue prints. The color palette started with black, white, and different types of blue; prints also took part in most of the pieces. Silhouettes with a fifties inspiration on skirts and dresses were mixed with sport cuts in pants and military jackets. Spandex, a fabric very similar to neoprene has become in a reference of Polite's garments; we could also see materials like silk, cotton, crochet, and lace during the show. My favorite pieces were the ones of religious mosaics with 3D flowers around; the perfomance was terrific, I really loved the scene, the music, the way models walked, and the styling. Undoubtedly this is the best Polite collection I've seen.
